Subject:Your big 80s bash
I may not have been there, but I just know that nothing is better than the 80s party that you had by yourself, Austin. It has an aura of mystery about it (as no one else was there) -- Was the music very good? Were there any party fouls? Did the cops break things up? I'm inspired by this whole thing. I'm not quite cool enough for 80s parties, but maybe I'll have my very own solitary bbq... or block party... or start a quilting circle by myself... and then I'll blog to let you know how it went :-)

Subject:Woo for Creative Writing
This is actually what we've been studying in my creative writing class. The best idea for writing fiction is to take events from your own life and tweak them enough so that it seems plausible enough to have happened. It's worked really well with my class, and my teacher thinks my writing is great. I'm not telling her it only takes me about an hour to whip up 3 pages though...... And remember, if you write one page a day for a year, you'll have a novel.
